NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 Wireless Graphics Card Coming Soon

This is very interesting!  KFA2 (Galaxy sub-brand) has announced a wireless graphics card that doesn’t require any cables, instead it uses a wireless link to send the display output from your PC to your monitor or HD TV in your lounge. All you need to is attach the receiver to the back of your screen and you’re done. Attach a wireless keyboard and mouse, you could place your PC at the other end of the room, letting you crank up those fans without having to listen to the whirring next to you.

It gives you the ability to stream uncompressed 1080p video from your PC to your WHDI enabled television/monitor at a range of 100 feet (more or less). Otherwise, it’s the same mid-range GTX 460 card we’ve seen universally lauded with 1024MB of onboard RAM helping to make the most of its 336 CUDA cores.

It is a typical GeForce GTX 460 1GB card, compatible with DirectX 11 and supports Nvidia’s PhysX and CUDA technologies. It also boasts the typical clock speeds, despite its single-slot cooler. The GPU runs at 675MHz (with the 336 stream processors operating at twice that rate), while the 1GB of GDDR5 memory runs at 900MHz (3.6GHz effective).

With a two year warranty, it’s expected to go on sale soon through-out Europe.
